Begin training now in order to compete in Atlanta’s ING marathon or half-marathon on March 29. The 26.2 mile course, which begins and ends at Centennial Olympic Park, takes runners past Martin Luther King’s birth place, through Little Five, Decatur, Druid Hills and Piedmont Park, winding its way through several historic neighborhoods and four college campuses.

For serious competitors with a “personal best” in mind, pace groups are available, and for those who need more motivation than a finish line, several charity groups offer training and race-day support.

Registration closes on March 18th for both events. The cost of running in the marathon is $90; the half-marathon costs $75.
