At last, Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport houses a restaurant reflective of the city’s hip, burgeoning atmosphere and rich culinary culture – One Flew South. This upscale dining concept targets travelers who, if given the chance, will avoid fried mozzarella sticks at all costs, and who have a penchant for award winning wines and homegrown ingredients. The menu, featuring a fusion of Southern and international foods, may leave travelers feeling as though they’ve officially arrived.

One Flew South’s modern appointments (Cherokee marble, Georgia pine, white leather seating) create an atmosphere much like what one would find in Midtown Atlanta, making it a great choice for en route business meetings or pre-honeymoon cocktails. Located in Concourse E, where most International flights depart, One Flew South does require an airline ticket for entry, but anyone with a long layover or a delayed flight can tram over for a healthier, and arguably tastier, meal than anything else the airport has the offer. One Flew South

Adventurous foodies and dedicated wine connoisseurs will appreciate this unique mountain festival. The 2nd annual Highlands Culinary Weekend will highlight local and guest chefs, wine sellers and town retailers during this four day celebration, November 13-16 in Highlands, NC.

Smartly, the weekend activities are offered a la carte, so you may choose – and pay for – only what is of interest. However, one needs to plan their event choices and accommodations early as space is limited on both fronts. For more information, call 866.526.5841.
