Coffee With A Cause

What if by drinking a cup of coffee you could impact an African village or change the life of an orphan? We often don’t realize how powerful our dollars can be, but the coffee industry is a good place to start. Land of a Thousand Hills, based in Atlanta, is a specialty coffee company that believes you can create a superior product and make a positive impact.
Their 100% Arabica coffee comes from farming cooperatives in Rwanda, a nation still recovering from genocide. Farmers that once fought against each other are now brought together by the community investment and are encouraged by higher than Fair Trade wages. Land of a Thousand Hills also uses some of their revenue to invest in Microfinance loans that help widows and sustenance farms to feed orphans. Most of their naturally grown, hand cultivated coffees cost around $9 a bag and are roasted in small batches here in Georgia. Stop by their store in Roswell or Perimeter Mall or order their coffee online.
