Chomp & Stomp

What better way to spend a cool Saturday in November than heading out to the Atlanta Festival that celebrates a humble neighborhood’s roots, homemade chili, authentic American music, beer and old fashioned community? Cabbagetown’s Chomp and Stomp chili cookoff and festival starts with a 5K run, then moves into the mainstay of the day with chili sampling, beer swilling and lots of live bluegrass, blues, and folk music.

For $5 you can sample the chili for as long as it lasts. (When planning your arrival time, note that last year they ran out of chili by mid-afternoon.) In the heart of this old mill town area, Chomp and Stomp honors a rural tradition in the midst of the city by using music and food to bring people together. Cabbagetown Park at the corner of Tye street and Kirkwood Ave. Saturday November 7, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. ChompandStomp.com
