Atlanta Jazz Club
There’s always an element of live music that gives you a better glimpse into the artist and their expression through sound. But live jazz is especially rewarding in that the audience is witness to the performer’s improvisation and creation in that moment. One of the best places in Atlanta to find such inventive spontaneity is Churchill Grounds.
Located on Peachtree St next to The Fox Theater, this club has a sophisticated ambiance, but the focus here is the quality of the performers. Small tables and low lighting encourage patrons to keep their focus on the stage and the music (and not loud bar conversations). Check their calendar before you go, but most sets start around 9:30 p.m.
