Camera Swapping Sites

CameraSwapping Web HOR

In the past several years, cameras have experienced the same sort of high-tech boom computers enjoyed in the nineties; it seems that a newer, faster, cheaper model comes out as soon as you’ve uploaded your new purchase’s second set of photos.

Two sites now offer camera swapping services for consumers who want to upgrade without collecting a box of cameras in their basements:Adorama, a popular photography portal, accepts used equipment with a promise to offer consumers a fair price. Once they’ve evaluated it, the company will offer to send you a check for the camera, apply store credit to an Adorama purchase, or, if you’re unhappy with the offer, return the camera, postage paid.

National Camera Exchange and Video focuses more on antique and vintage cameras, but are open to all exchanges for photographic equipment. Like Adorama, they’ll cut consumers a check or make a trade for one of their in-stock models. The site offers a handy checklist to consider before sending off your merchandise.
