If your idea of roughing it requires at least a little civilization, but you try to avoid RV Parks, consider taking a vintage camping trip, circa 1979, with the help of Retro Bus Rental. Their VW buses, with a turning radius that is far better than an RV’s, allow more privacy and access to State Parks’ greater natural beauty. The groovy Retro Bus fleet, made up of Elmo, Daisy, Winston and other aptly named VWs, comes fully equipped with closets, kitchenettes, full-sized and twin-sized beds, hookups for water and electricity and all the supplies a camper might need.
Retro Bus Rental destinations are limited to the South – specifically, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida – and require a 2-day minimum, at $90 a day.
